A treadmill or elliptical is hard to move because it was built in the room. A treadmill in a Carmel Valley garage, an elliptical in Scripps Ranch, or a big home gym in a Clairemont bedroom will not fit in a small car. The machine is heavy and the doorway is tight. People call after the machine has been a coat rack for two years and no buyer came to pick it up.
If you can roll it to the driveway, curbside fitness hauling costs less. If it is still plugged in against the back wall, full-service hauling means we walk it out. Weights are easy if they are in a box or bag. A big metal gym rack needs a photo from two sides so we can see if it comes apart. We haul the equipment away. We do not put it back together at someone else's house.
We see these loads all over San Diego. Home gyms in La Jolla. Bikes on patios in Pacific Beach. Fold-up treadmills in North Park apartments that never folded. Metal frames can be recycled. A clean machine that still works can be set aside for reuse. Text the brand if you know it, and a photo of the whole machine, not just the screen. The stairs and the weight set the fitness equipment hauling price.
