Scrap metal hauling is for heavy metal that is too far from a scrap yard to move yourself. A rusty grill behind a Pacific Beach rental. A metal bed frame in a City Heights bedroom. A dead water heater in a National City yard. A bent patio set in Logan Heights. The metal can be recycled. It does not belong in the trash cart. A small car will not carry a water heater to a yard that pays by the pound.
Fred's loads that metal and takes it to be recycled instead of dumped. We are not a scrap yard, and we do not pay you for the metal. The price covers the work, the truck, and the drop-off. A small grill at the curb stays a small price. A garage full of bed frames, file cabinets, and a stove is priced from the photo. Do not include propane tanks, car batteries, or motors that leak oil. Those are not a clean metal haul.
Curbside scrap hauling means the metal is already in the driveway, garage, or alley. Full-service means we carry the water heater from the closet or the grill from the side yard. We do this in Barrio Logan, Encanto, Paradise Hills, Lemon Grove, and the beach areas. Text a photo in daylight so we can see the rust and the size. Scrap metal hauling can often happen the same week if the truck has room.
