A TV is not regular trash. California does not let you put TVs, computer screens, and many other electronics in the trash cart. The Miramar Recycling Center takes some electronics if you can bring them there. Some are free. Some are priced by the pound. A big TV from a Mission Valley condo, or a stack of old thick TVs in a Kearny Mesa closet, is hard to move. The glass is heavy, and the set will not fit in a small car.
Fred's e-waste hauling picks up the TVs, computers, printers, and the box of cords if they are part of the same pile. Curbside means they are already in the garage or at the alley. Full-service means we carry a flat TV from the living room or an old projection TV down from an extra room. We do not smash the screens or throw them in with food trash. The load goes to an electronics recycler.
Homes in Serra Mesa, Tierrasanta, and Clairemont still have old tube TVs in the garage. Offices near Morena empty a closet of screens when a lease ends. Text a photo that shows the screen size and how many you have. The count sets the e-waste hauling price. One small flat TV at the curb stays on the low posted price.
