Text us a photoExercise machines are heavy, wide, and often wedged in a spare room. Fred’s removes treadmills, ellipticals, spin bikes, and weight benches without turning the hallway into a construction site.
We have moved thousands of treadmills down San Diego stairs. Two-person crews, a real dump truck, and a quote before we strain a doorway. That is why we are the best option versus renting a truck you still have to load.
Machines are tilted and walked, not dragged. We are careful with your flooring, we do not bang handrails, and we pick up leftover weights you point to. Full-service means you never lift.
Recycling
Steel frames, flywheels, and motors go to scrap metal. Plastic shrouds are separated when practical. Working equipment in good shape can be donated. A treadmill is mostly recoverable metal if it is handled, not landfilled whole.
5/5 from neighbors
“Treadmill from a loft. They did not mark the stairs. Perfect.”
“Elliptical and a rack of dumbbells, fair price, five stars.”
“I was going to list it for free. Fred’s was cheaper than my time.”
Exercise equipment FAQ
- Can you take a treadmill upstairs?
- Yes, as full-service. You point and we carry it from inside or upstairs.
- Do you take free weights?
- Yes. Plates and dumbbells are dense — photos help us match weight to a truck tier.
- Is gym equipment recycled?
- Steel goes to scrap. Usable machines can go to donation.
- What if it is bolted down?
- Unbolt it before we arrive, or tell us in the photos so we can plan the job.
