Text us a photoDead appliances are heavy, they leak, and the city does not want them in household trash. Fred’s pulls refrigerators, washers, dryers, and water heaters and sends metal and refrigerant-bearing units through proper channels.
We disconnect only what is already unhooked — you handle water and power. Our dump truck and two-person crews move 250-pound refrigerators without chewing up flooring. Veteran-owned, local, 21 years on San Diego jobs.
Appliances come out on dollies, not dragged on vinyl. We watch doorways, fridge water lines that are already capped, and garage floors. The space is left broom-clean.
Recycling
Steel cabinets go to scrap. Refrigerators and A/C units with refrigerant are processed so coolant is recovered, not vented. Motors and copper are separated. That is why appliance hauling is a recycling job, not a dump run.
5/5 from neighbors
“Fridge out of a tight kitchen without dinged cabinets. Paid the quote.”
“Washer and dryer gone the same afternoon. Crew was careful with the floor.”
“Water heater from the side yard. Fast, polite, five stars.”
Appliance removal FAQ
- Do I need to unplug the appliance?
- Yes. Unplug, disconnect water, and empty the fridge. We haul — we do not plumb or disconnect live lines.
- Can you take a fridge with food in it?
- Empty it first. Food and liquids cannot go on the truck.
- Are appliances recycled?
- Yes. Metal is scrapped and refrigerant-bearing units are processed so coolant is recovered.
- What about a stove or dishwasher?
- Those are standard appliance pickups. Curbside from $69. Full-service from $130.
